Training a Priority for Sector Members Over the Summer

Members of the Rockville Centre Coalition for Youth, including Sector representatives from Police, RVC Youth Council, PTA, Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce attended the week-long CADCA mid-year training meeting in July.

Pictured left are RVC Police Youth Officer Nick DeLuca, RVC PTA President Cammie Harloff, RN, RVC Youth Council Board Counsel and Coalition Program Director Jeanne Mulry, RVC Lions Treasurer Maureen Jordan, RVC Chamber and Lion Lisa Spatz, RVC Lion Robin Webb, RVC Police Lt. James Vafeades, and Coalition Project Coordinator Ruthanne McCormack.

The Chairman of the RVC Youth Council Andrea Connolly and Coalition Youth Sector Representative Chelsea Connolly attended the Youth2Youth training program also in July.  Coalition Project Coordinator Ruthanne McCormack and Program Director Jeanne Mulry attended the third week of mandatory Coalition Academy training in August.  Our RVC Police Youth Officer Nick DeLuca also completed the ARIDE Training, and also TIPs training to help identify and prevent underage alcohol sales.
