On Thursday, September 27th, the Coalition Project Coordinator, along with Coalition Sector Members, attended one of two listening sessions on Long Island to advocate against the Legalization of Recreational Marijuana in New York State.This listening session took place at Hofstra University and all attendees were permitted to speak for two minutes. Attendees opposed to this legislation included medical professionals, parents, youth in recovery, educators and members of transportation organizations. The future of our Youth will be in great jeopardy if this law passes. A second listening session is scheduled for October 16th at 6:00 pm in Suffolk County.
